Club Print Exhibits & Photo Shoot Outings
Scheduled Print Exhibits
Tidewater Camera Club supports the art of photographic prints through participation in various exhibits and print shows around the area. Members are encouraged to submit prints as often as possible, in the spirit of perfecting the art of printing and to enjoy the rewards of obtaining public feedback. A "Mastery Series" of workshops is scheduled in cooperation with the Academy art Museum to assist members in preparing and participating in the Academy Art Museum Print Exhibit. The general rules for participation can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate link on the right of this page. Each exhibit might have additional requirements such as theme restrictions, or framing requirements. This additional information will be available by clicking on the link below for the specific Exhibit. Members are expected to pre-register prior to displaying in any Exhibit. 	If you are interested in displaying a photo at the new Breast Cancer Wing of the Memorial Hosptial in Easton from January to March 2010, contact Joe Soares. The theme is "Reflections."	November 2009

Scheduled Photo Shoot Outings
	If an outdoor outing has to be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather-- check back here after 6am on the day of the event. This page will clearly state a cancellation if there is one..

	We will have a Club shoot that morning before the workshop and then move into the lecture hall where we will have some different lighting set ups...The workshop will be done by Robert Noonan.	October 24, 2009-- Horn Point, Cambridge, MD.

	Photo Opportunity -- Sultana Downrigging, Chestertown, 410-778-5954. The harbor and wharfs of Chestertown will be filled as ships arrive from across the Mid-Atlantic to celebrate the Sultana's 9th Annual Downrigging Weekend, which marks the beginning of “downrigging” for many of the regions tall ships. 	Photo Opportunity -- Waterfowl Festival. This is a great opportunity to wander around town, and witness a great array of activities: DockDogs demonstration, Retriever demonstrations, Animal puppet show, birds of prey demonstration, fly-fishing, duck and geese calling contests, shooting demonstrations, people watching and much more. 	Organized Outing -- Waterfowl in Dorchester County. Meet at the beginning of the driveway to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge at 8 am. The visitor center will be closed at this hour, so no rest facilities will be available until after 9 am. We will travel the Wildlife Drive looking for scenic and wildlife photo ops. A daily permit is required for all visitors to the Wildlife Drive unless they possess an annual pass, lifetime passport, or current duck stamp. The daily fee is $3.00 per vehicle. After completing the drive and maybe one or two other close areas, we'll make a quick pit stop at the Visitor's Center and then we will head to C'ambridge where, starting at Great Marsh Park, we will work down through the waterfront to the Cambridge Visitor's Center area, stopping at Oakley Street, the Cambridge Yacht Club and the City Marina, the Long Wharf, Sailwinds Park and areas behind the Dorchester Hospital. Weather permitting, we may venture onto the Choptank Fishing Pier. Bring snacks, water and lunch if you get hungry for an early meal. We plan to end by 12 noon.
